We are saddened by the passing of Albert's daughter, Audrey Hash Ham, who was instrumental in helping to found the Albert Hash Memorial Festival, and donated her time, money and heart to the success and continuation of the festival. So many of the performers and instrument makers at the festival were influenced by Audrey and she touched the hearts of many who attended. We will miss her presence greatly. This year at the festival, we will be starting the Audrey Hash Ham Music Scholarship for local youth.
The festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 5th, 2015 starting at 10am and ending around 6pm. We have already started on the 2015 line-up for the fest, check out performers page for update! Some of the 2015 performers include: Whitetop Mountain Band, Crooked Road Ramblers, Wayne Henderson & friends, Unique Sound of the Mountains: Larry Sigmon, Martha Spencer & friends, Kelley and the Cowboys, the Georgia Crackers, the Harris Brothers, and the Mountain Park Old Time Band.
It will be a great day of music, dance, crafts, food and fun!
The festival will be at Grayson Highlands State Park, 829 Grayson Highland Ln., Mouth of Wilson, VA, 24363 (http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state_parks/gra.shtml) and camping is available there as well. It will take place in the picnic area at the Henderson Stage.
Also: Admission will be $10 this year. ($5 parking per car)
